Cavanna Homes winds-down construction work to support the national effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19
Cavanna Homes is following government guidance and has announced the temporary winding-down of all construction work in support of the nationwide effort to prevent the spread of COVID -19 and to keep staff, contractors, visitors and wider communities safe.
This latest measure, which will see construction site activity reduced to the minimum level required to meet health and safety standards, follows the closure last week (Monday 23rd March) of all sales offices and show homes. The safe and orderly temporary winding-down of all Cavanna Homes’ construction sites in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset followed within days.
The majority of Cavanna Homes’ employees, based at the company’s head office in Torquay and around the region, are being furloughed until the time comes to resume their roles and responsibilities and urgent business only, including essential and emergency work, will be managed by a core team working remotely.
House-hunters are being encouraged to take advantage of our “virtual” show home tours which are available on our development webpages or via Facebook and Instagram. While the marketing suites are closed, sales enquiries are being handled via our head office on 01803 618688 or by emailing [email protected].
Managing Director Keith Miller said: “This is an extremely challenging time for everyone but, even as we put in place these unprecedented measures, we are simultaneously preparing the business to resume activity and increase production as soon as it is safe to do so.
“I would like to thank our customers, staff, suppliers, contractors and consultants for their understanding.”
