Cavanna Homes’ Kings Orchard development shortlisted in distinguished South West Property Awards

Our Kings Orchard development in the stunning creek-side village of Stoke Gabriel near Totnes has been shortlisted for ‘Residential Project of the Year (36 units & over)’ in the 2020 Michelmores Property Awards.

Kings Orchard is one of only four developments in the South West to be recognised by the expert judging panel as one of the best residential schemes delivered in the past year.

Kings Orchard is a development of 53 new one to four-bedroom homes in the South Hams village of Stoke Gabriel and close to the River Dart. As well as building a community of stylish, energy-efficient homes to fit within the rural landscape, land for a new community hub was allocated which is now under construction to provide room hire for local groups, office space for local businesses and meeting room facilities.

Homeowners not only benefit from plenty of open space with a lookout point over the River Dart, a community orchard and a play park but also through considerable financial contributions made to local amenities including allotments, sports facilities, and an additional classroom for the local primary school.

The awards celebrate the most prestigious, innovative and exciting developments taking place in the South West. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the award entries were reviewed by the panel in a virtual judging day and the winning projects will be announced via a virtual event in November 2020.

Cavanna Homes has also been recognised once again as a five-star homebuilder by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) receiving a 100 percent recommendation from homeowners, as well as being crowned Housebuilder of the Year in the medium category in the national Housebuilder Awards 2019.
