New community of homes near the coastal town of Bude coming soon
A turf cutting ceremony performed by North Cornwall MP Scott Mann has marked the start of construction at our latest development Bellevue in Stratton near the coastal town of Bude.
Bellevue will feature a mix of 144 open market and affordable homes, with public open space, allotments and a playpark set within the scheme. Bude town centre and the award-winning Summerleaze Beach, popular with surfers, kayakers and dogwalkers, are within walking or cycling distance of the new development.
Scott Mann MP said: “This new community of homes, built by a local homebuilder, is a real investment in Bude, providing vital employment as well as much needed homes and dedicated affordable housing for local families. This is an exciting time for Bude and I look forward to seeing the site transform and the new homes take shape.”
Mr Mann was joined by Andy Addison, Operations Director at Cavanna Homes, established in 1923 and currently holds the national title of Housebuilder 2019 and a maximum 5 star customer satisfaction rating from the Home Builders Federation.
Mr Addison said: “We’re thrilled to officially mark the start of work at Bellevue alongside Scott. This is a fantastic location for a beautiful scheme which is so close to one of the Westcountry’s finest beaches and stunning North Cornwall coastline. We anticipate opening our marketing suite in early 2021, with the first homes ready in the summer and we’re already inviting house hunters to register their interest with our sales team.”
Bellevue will be built over three phases, with a mix of two, three and four-bedroom terraced, semi-detached and detached homes all in our new portfolio range. The house types include the Rippon, Steeperton, Longaford and Rundlestone. One and two-bedroom apartments will also be available as part of the affordable housing allocation in phase one. The design of the new homes is inspired by the local Cornish architecture and will include exterior finishes of slate, white render and red brick.
As well as providing recreational space for residents, the development will contribute almost £800,000 towards expanding Bude infant and junior school, improving Skitches Corner Junction, providing outdoor sports facilities and further public open space in Stratton.
