The magnificent seven ride for precious lives
A seven strong team of riders from our Head Office are saddling up once again for the 215-mile charity bike challenge, Ride For Precious Lives, an annual fundraiser hosted by our charity of the year, Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
Michael Newman, Head of Land and & Design is back in the saddle for his third ride in a row and is hoping the team can match last year’s fundraising total.
“We exceeded our £6,000 target by some distance last year and the whole team is determined to do that again, particularly as we have an extra rider on board,” said Michael.
“Children’s Hospice South West does such an amazing job in caring for children with life-limiting conditions, which is why we have been so proud to support them since 2019.”
This year’s Ride For Precious Lives is a three-day challenge which will see riders covering between 65 – 80 miles each day. It begins on Friday 8th July at Charlton Farm hospice near Bristol, heads south via Little Bridge House on Saturday, and finishes on Sunday 10th July at Little Harbour in St Austell.
Since 2019, we are proud to have raised almost £32,000 for CHSW through a whole range of events including charity golf days, bake sales and dress down days.
Henrietta Olsson, Area Fundraiser for CHSW said: “We are delighted to see Cavanna Homes taking part in another event for our charity and we really appreciate the tremendous contribution they have made over the past three and a half years.”
