Anyone buying a home up to the value of £250,000 will pay no Stamp Duty

First-time buyers will pay no Stamp Duty up to £425,000
What is Stamp Duty?
Stamp Duty is a tax you pay if you buy a residential property or a piece of land in England or Northern Ireland over a certain price.
How much Stamp Duty do I have to pay
The amount you pay will depend on the value of the property you’re purchasing. The Stamp Duty payable is a percentage of the property purchase price within each tax band. See here for more detail:
