Tricks and treats for a Halloween party
It’s spooky season which means only one thing … a Halloween party!
To help you plan for a frightfully fun children’s party in your new Cavanna home, we’ve put together some tips and tricks for hosting the ultimate get together.
Dreadful decorations
Have a go at making your own Halloween decorations this year. You’ll save money, reduce waste and have some skele-fun at the same time!
Our favourite decorations are those that are spooky and edible, so we recommend you check out these satsuma pumpkins. They only require two ingredients; satsumas and cucumber, and once they’re made they can be placed around the kitchen for hungry guest to help themselves.
You can’t have a Halloween party without pumpkins! They are essential to transform your home into a haunted house for the evening. Gather up your helpers before the party to carve out some spooky faces and pop on a movie while you’re at it; Hocus Pocus would be our choice.
Did you know that you can save the pumpkin flesh to make some terrifying treats? Read on to find the recipes…
Revolting Recipes
It’s time to plan the petrifying party dishes– here are some of our favourites.
Using the pumpkin flesh that you saved, create autumnal crowd pleasers such as pumpkin hummus, a hearty pumpkin chilli con carne, or a delicious veggie chilli for meat-free ghouls and boos.
You could also try, mini monster burgers using meatballs or veggie balls based on dietary requirements. Allow the children to assemble the garnishing to see who can make the scariest monster burger!
Gory Games
Make sure you have ghostly games planned to keep your guests entertained all night long!
If the weather is on your side, take the party into the garden and set up glow-in-the-dark witch-hat ring toss. You can easily make cardboard witch-hats and attached two of three glow sticks together to make a ring, then it’s time to find out who has a scarily accurate aim!
Now you’re all set for a party, have a spooktacular Halloween!
