Cavanna Homes raised £6,000 at Charity Golf Day

We are proud to share the news that funds raised at our fifth Charity Golf Day in support of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) totalled an impressive £6,000.

Cavanna Homes colleagues, contractors, consultants and suppliers gathered at Woodbury Park in East Devon for a day of friendly competition and fundraising, which included an 18-hole round of golf, networking, an evening meal, auction and presentation.

The event was organised to raise money for our Charity Partner, CHSW who provide vital care for children with life-limiting conditions and support for their families, at hospices in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

Thanks to the generosity of staff and partner organisations, we raised £6,000, which will go directly towards funding the essential services and outstanding care provided by CHSW.

Melanie Potter, Head of Cavanna Homes’ Charity Committee said, “Our annual Golf Day is always a popular and well-attended event. People enjoy getting outdoors to play golf, catch-up and network, but most of all to raise valuable funds for an incredible charity.

“CHSW work extremely hard to provide vital hospice care to children and young people, as well as much-needed respite for their families. We’re proud to play a small part in helping them do this.

CHSW Area Fundraiser Daniela Hopkins who attended the Golf Day said, “It’s always a pleasure to work with Cavanna Homes at its charity events and as this year was its fifth Charity Golf Day in aid of CHSW, there was no way I was going to miss it!

“The day was beautifully organised and planned to perfection – even the sun came out to play, which made the day all that more enjoyable.

“Each year, through the generous support of corporate partners like Cavanna Homes, CHSW is able to continue to provide care and support to children living with life limiting illnesses, young people and their families across the South West.”

At Cavanna Homes we are committed to supporting South West charities and dedicated to making a more substantial and sustained impact in the communities we serve.
