Special delivery for Stoke Gabriel couple turns new house into a family home
When parents-to-be Henry Burridge and fiancée Maddy White first saw their new home in the idyllic South Hams village of Stoke Gabriel, they knew it would be the perfect place to welcome their baby daughter into the world.
And less than three months after moving into their new house at our Kings Orchard development, baby Olive was born, at home, on February 4th 2019.
Quantity Surveyor Henry, 25, and 21-year-old Nursery Assistant Maddy, were the first couple to reserve a property at Kings Orchard. Maddy explained; “We heard about Cavanna Homes’ Kings Orchard development from my parents, who live just up the road. I grew up in Stoke Gabriel and was really keen to stay in the area, so Kings Orchard was a perfect spot for us.
“Once we found out that I was pregnant we wanted to buy our own home to start our family. We decided on having a homebirth, so finding a house that we were comfortable in was essential for us. We’re so happy with how everything went and we were able to move and settle in before our due date”.
Henry added: “When we started looking for homes, the idea of a new build really appealed to us as the house was ready to move straight into and didn’t need any work doing. Maddy is great with interior design and was in her element, she’s done a brilliant job.
“As first-time buyers we used the Help-to-Buy Scheme and Kevyn, our sales advisor, was really helpful and answered all of our questions. He was quick at getting back to us and made the whole process simple, which is just what we needed. We were able to choose the fixtures, fittings and flooring that we wanted in the house and were given regular updates on how the build was going.
“Now that we’ve moved into our wonderful new home and welcomed Olive to our family, our next step is to plan our wedding for this September!”
