Cavanna’s love for the coast
Our love for the South West coast is reflected in the fact that most of our developments are within easy reach of the region’s stunning and often award-winning beaches. So it came as little surprise to us to learn that Bude and Ilfracombe have just featured in Rightmove’s top ten most in-demand coastal locations to live. We certainly agree that they are both pretty fantastic, so we thought we’d take this opportunity to look at some of the wonderful seaside resorts on our doorstep that make us fall in love with the South West every day. 
We already knew how special Bude is with our Bellevue development located on the edge of this pretty town. Our new homes will enjoy views of the sea or countryside, with access to lots of green open space nearby. Situated on the rugged North Cornwall coast, Bude itself is a laid-back resort with a beautiful beach and its own sea pool, which attracts swimmers and adventurers throughout the year – even in the depths of winter! Take a wander around the local independent shops before stopping off somewhere for a bite to eat. When it comes to food and drink you’ll be spoilt for choice, with a range of cafes, pubs and restaurants.
Heading north along the coast, in North Devon you’ll find the delightful resort of Ilfracombe with its distinctive Victorian architecture and seaside charm. Famous for its unique Tunnel Beaches, there is plenty to do in Ilfracombe, whether you fancy trying your hand at a new water sport or staying dry with a visit to the aquarium. The town has also become something of a haven for foodies, with some superb restaurants to discover as you wind your way down to the harbour. While there, be sure to head to the pier to take in the 66ft stainless steel and bronze sculpture Verity, which was created by the world famous artist Damien Hirst. 
Heading to the south coast of Devon, beach lovers are again in for a treat!
The bustling town of Teignmouth is a favourite of ours, with its Victorian pier, amusements and sandy beach. It’s a popular family holiday destination and when you’re there, you’ll soon understand why! Our Cavanna @ Wolborough Hill development in Newton Abbot, is just 20 minutes away too and enjoys sweeping views to the stunning moorland. Residents will even be able to enjoy the development’s own tennis court!
