Cavanna Homes partners with Pulse Fibre to deliver high-speed internet connectivity to Dorset homeowners

Cavanna Homes has partnered with Pulse Fibre to deliver reliable and future-proofed internet access to residents who will move into its new homes at Warmwell Rise in Dorset.

Pulse Fibre will install full fibre infrastructure at Warmwell Rise during construction meaning homeowners can connect to high-speed broadband on the day they move in and receive network speeds of up to 10Gb/s for both upload and download. 10Gb/s is considered the benchmark for modern broadband, for ease of home working, TV and gaming.

The future-proofed technology will continue to meet the needs of ever-evolving SMART home features such as video doorbells, security systems, heating and lighting systems, as well as voice-controlled speakers and gaming systems, which are popular with homeowners.

The service also provides temporary connectivity to the homes during the building phase so that smart technology, such as heating thermostats and electric vehicle charging points, can be set up in readiness of completion.

Customers will have the choice to connect with Pulse Fibre on a tariff of around £30 per month or choose from another internet service provider. Pulse Fibre offers a social tariff for residents in affordable homes and to customers claiming Universal Credit.

Warmwell Rise, a community of 140 two-to-four-bedroom homes, will be located just off Frome Valley Road in the rural village of Crossways, six miles from Dorchester. Construction is due to begin in autumn 2024, with first homes ready for new homeowners in summer 2025.

Paul McGuire Head of Technical and Engineering at Cavanna Homes said: “With home working more popular than ever, the need for high-speed, affordable internet has never been more important, so we expect this service to be of a significant benefit to our homeowners.

“This collaboration shows our commitment to providing customers with the necessities to benefit modern living and a smooth moving experience where they do not need to wait to be connected to the internet.”

Nathan Davis, Head of Business Development at Pulse Fibre added: “We’re thrilled to partner with Cavanna Homes to bring high-speed fibre connectivity to new homes in Dorset. Together, we’re enhancing the modern living experience, ensuring that every home is equipped with reliable, future-proof technology from day one.”
