Living in Exeter

Transport
Exeter is easily accessible by road and rail. Exeter St Davids Train Station offers excellent services to London, Birmingham, and Bristol, to name but a few and there are smaller stations dotted around Exeter too. Our new home developments also offer convenient access to the region’s main trunk roads leading South Devon, Plymouth, Cornwall, Dorset and towards Bristol via the M5 or London via the A30. There is also a small airport on the outskirts which offers internal flights in the UK, while also serving parts of Europe including Spain and Greece.
Eating & Drinking
You will find all of the regular big hitter restaurants in Exeter, but it is also home to a number of excellent, independent restaurants where you can enjoy local, seasonal food, as well as many bars serving everything from craft beers to cocktails. Education
Exeter has a high number of schools that OFSTED have rated outstanding including Westclyst Primary School St Leonard’s (CofE) Primary School, and Ellen Tinkham School is also rated as excellent for children with special educational needs.
For secondary education, there are 25 schools to pick from, including the well-regarded St Luke’s Science and Sports College which is within walking distance of our Equinox community. When it comes to further education, Exeter College boasts an impressive outstanding OFSTED rating, while private education is also an option, with schools available including The Maynard School for Girls, Exeter School and Exeter Cathedral School.
Things to do
If shopping is your thing, the city centre has all the high-street favourites alongside quirky, independent boutiques.
