Waste & Resources
Addressing how we manage our waste and resourcing is an important part of our strategy. Reducing our construction waste is a particular area of focus where we can have great impact.
Operating Responsibly
We recognise that modern slavery can occur in the construction industry and we are committed to working towards eliminating this.
Climate Change & Resilience
Reducing our carbon emissions and increasing our energy efficiency is a key priority.
Operating responsibly, with a careful eye on the resources we use, the waste we generate and the measures we take to mitigate climate change and increase resilience, is central to our Sustainability Strategy.
Taking a responsible approach to our house building business means being mindful of the risks of modern slavery in the construction industry, always operating to the highest ethical standards and managing a responsible procurement policy, including purchasing only Forest Stewardship Council approved timber.
We are aware of the impact our work can have on the wider world and strive to reduce our waste, reusing and repurposing materials whenever possible and collaborating with our waste contractors to develop an effective waste management strategy.
Reducing our carbon emissions and increasing our energy efficiency is a key priority and we have taken the first steps in quantifying our baseline carbon footprint with the aim to reach a net zero carbon target by 2045.
